Guidance for Prospective Easemented
Property Buyers

Are you interested in purchasing a property within the Trust's easement portfolio, or are you a real estate agent
working on behalf of a prospective buyer?

Here are a few things to keep in mind as the buyer:

  • Request a copy of the Conservation Easement Deed of Gift from the seller or the Trust. Review the Deed of Gift so that you fully understand the property rights of the Trust and the terms of the easement.
  • Request an Estoppel Certificate from the Trust verifying there are no existing violations on the property.
